Village of BretonI been very fortunate to have created business relationships with several in the Drayton Valley region. One of those is with the folks at the Village of Breton. Since the fall of 2006, I have worked on their website, a site designed to keep its residents informed of events and activities in the community in west-central Alberta, as well as plans and programs by council and administration. It might be a small community by some standards, but my goodness the amenities are definitely worthy of showcasing on the internet, and that's exactly what we do. Their Canada Day festivities are amazing and the fact that they are one of very few communities in the province to celebrate Black History Month is equally impressive. In this case, the website is a brochure of the village, and that's all some municipalities really need ... an online presence that promotes the quality of life of the community. In June of 2017, I took a fabulous photographer to Breton and we have now got a fabulous photo portfolio for the new website, that will be launched early this fall.

If you have an online order form, you can assist your visitor by having your website calculate totals, calculate tax and check visitor input for validity. You can provide games for your visitors to play and have fun while they are at your site.

What I'm Working On
While I work on new websites pretty much every month, the bulk of my work is in the almost daily maintenance of websites for current clients. That, and redesigning their outdated sites with new, which is what I will be working on for a municipal government in the next month or so. We also have a new website for a local curling club in the works, and Bill continues to add new features to our Music Festival Suite program, now being used to manage 17 music festivals from British Columbia to Newfoundland. We are proud to be celebrating 23 years in business this year.
