The possibilities are endless when it comes to adding some glitz and glamour to your website. Kathleen offers special features that include both visitor and staff interactivity.
Websites can be interactive mediums as well as one-way information-giving sites. Your website may benefit from a shopping cart, a journal or blog, or online registrations. Some of these you or your staff can take care of yourself. Just ask.

Town of OldsIn the winter of 1999/2000, I started working on a new website for the Town of Olds. As one of my longest-standing clients, it has been such a pleasure to work on this site and see the growth in design and navigation. Keeping community activities separate from municipal business, and yet reporting on both fairly, can be quite the balancing act, but with the addition of an interactive Community Calendar and the Community Services Directory, the Town has managed very nicely. The site features scrolling text notices, an internal search engine, and drop down menus, but the real selling feature is the dedication to almost daily maintenance, much of which is done by Town staff, including a detailed interactive Business Directory. Following an intensive branding exercise, a new logo was introduced and we changed things up a bit to match the new logo. Most departments have now cleaned up all their pages and are pleased to be presenting a new and fresh website for residents of this growing community in Central Alberta. This is one of my favourite sites to work on, partly because of the priority Town staff in all departments gives the site. I love a website that is full of current information.

One really important reason for having a website: A lot of what passes for business is simply nothing more than making connections with other people. Every smart business person knows, it's not what you know, it's who you know.

What I'm Working On
We're going to do our best to keep our summer as free as possible, but that doesn't mean works comes to a halt. I maintain about 80 websites, at least half every week, plus we've got future plans for website redesigns for Olds Mini Storage and Thunder in the Valley Drag Race from Drayton Valley. A new site for Town & Country Plumbing is on hold for a bit. Bill has finished a golf management system and will be enhancing a custom-designed program for the High River Music Festival this summer. Am trying to keep his workload down to a minimum ... it is fishing season after all!

We finished the redesign for the Alberta Association of Recreational Facility Personnel early in June.
